It has been a pleasure serving as your 2011 NEFMLS President. As we near the end of the last quarter of 2011 I want to take this time to thank the NEFMLS Directors, various committees, staff and you our members for making the Northeast Florida Multiple Listing Service the best MLS that REALTORS can have. While 2011 was another challenging year for all of us I am pleased that we have been able to maintain the high quality service that you deserve and expect. I am happy to report that we are financially sound despite a continued decline in membership. Like many of you we have reduced recurring expenses and eliminated expensive budget items by finding other ways to provide the same or similar service.

While the 2011 sales year may not be one we want to remember the good news is that residential and condo inventory is down from the previous year’s 15 months to less than 9 months, residential list prices are becoming more realistic and average sales prices are on the increase.

We are proud of the new private mobile application from TourMeNow and of all of the system changes, enhancements and new products introduced during 2011.

Congratulations and much success to Gene Jones from ERA Dan Jones and Associates as he begins his term as the 2012 NEFMLS, Inc. President, to the new 2012 officers President-elect Wanda Franklin of Heth Realty, Treasurer Dee Bumbarger of Buck & Buck and Secretary Gonzalo Mejia of Watson realty Corp, to the new directors Roy Orren of Marketmasters of the Southeast, and Stan Bishop of Exit Real Estate Gallery and Charles Kassaw of Coldwell Banker Vanguard, the existing directors Wand Franklin of Heth realty, Marilyn Bearss of Coldwell Banker Vanguard, Clare Berry of Berry & Company Real Estate, Chris Bingemann of Bingemann Realty Sales, Jerry Smith of RE/MAX Specialists, Steve Sprague of Sprague Mortgage, Maria Wilkes of Prudential Network Realty and Billie Motz of Watson Realty Corp.

In closing I am honored to have served as you 2011 NEFMLS, Inc. President and wish each and every one of you the very best for 2012 and beyond.
